Business Access Point 120The BAP 120 is an excellent product for small/medium businesses desiring secure Wireless LAN access. The BAP is capable of multiple SSIDs, VLANs, WPA, and WPA2 support. The unit itself is compact and can be powered by a PoE switch making installation as simple as plugging it into the network. Configuration is simple and is accomplished through a web interface. Multiple BAP120s can be deployed allowing mobile users to roam from one AP to another seamlessly. WLAN 2300 SeriesThe Wireless LAN 2300 series starts with Wireless Security Switches. These security switches come in three sizes (3 access points, 12 access points, and 128 access points) and allow central management of all APs through one interface, dynamic configuration of new APs, load balancing, seamless roaming, and a host of security features. The Wireless Security Switches also offer user-based access policies and customizable portals for logging in. A special application for guest access offers the ability for non-IT employees to issue temporary user IDs – perfect for front desk staff to give visitors access. The WLAN 2300 Portfolio offers many other products including Access Points, graphical management software, and a feature set making deploying and managing a large wireless network a breeze. The 2340 Location Engine uses access points for pinpointing the location of a mobile client to an accuracy of a few meters. The Location Engine has a great deal of uses including tracking problem spots, finding lost devices, locating bad NICs, pinpointing the location of an unauthorized access attempt, and even E-911 capabilities with WLAN VoIP phones.
